Vincent J. Geraci

July 12, 1934 — September 5, 2025

Vincent J. Geraci, age 91, of Novi, Michigan, passed away September 5, 2025. He was born on July 12, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA, son of Frank and Virginia (Benigno) Geraci. Vincent was united in marriage to Susan E. (Simon) Geraci on May 16, 1959; they spent 52 years devoted to one another until her death on October 1, 2011.

Vincent studied automotive design at the Chrysler Institute of Engineering. He began his artistic career in automotive design working in such studios as DeSoto, Plymouth, and Imperial. He later joined American Motors and finished his career as the Director of Interior Design.

In retirement, Vincent devoted much of his time to drawing and painting in acrylics. A realist at heart, he focused on scenery and portraits, developing a distinctive style he called “Detailing Impressions,” which was a visual balance that reflected his love of fine detail. He fused his love of Tigers baseball with his artistry and designed a prototype uniform that blended elements of the team’s traditional look with that of the historic Detroit Stars. His proposal went as far as a meeting with marketing and his hope was that the dream would become a reality making the design the pinnacle of his artistic career. Vincent was also a longtime member of the American Motor Owners Club and the DeSoto Club, with a lifelong passion for classic automobiles. Over the years, he owned several, the last being a 1973 Gremlin Levi Edition. Away from his hobbies, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, quiet evenings watching black-and-white films and savoring good chocolate.

Vincent is survived by his loving children, Jeffery (Sandy) Geraci and Jennifer (Tarcisio) Paciocco; his grandchildren, Sarah (Matt) Richter and Christopher (Caitlin) Paciocco; and his great grandchildren, Bria and Callie Paciocco and Emily and Thomas Richter. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his brother Frank Geraci.

He will be instate beginning at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 46325 10 Mile Road, Novi. A eulogy will be given at 10:45 a.m. with a funeral mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest with his wife at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia.
