Robert J. Lambrix, age 86, of Northville, MI, formerly of Rochester, NY and Middletown, OH, passed away on August 15, 2026. He was born on November 23, 1939, in Lancaster, New York, son of Donald and Sabina (Sellers) Lambrix.
Robert graduated from Brighton High School in the Rochester, New York area with the Class of 1957. He went on to attend Colgate University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree, followed by a master’s degree from Rutgers University. In 2007, Robert was inducted into the Brighton Hall of Fame in recognition of his contributions to his community. He founded the Brighton Schools Alumni Association (BSAA) and established the Robert Lambrix Scholarship to support college-bound students. Through these efforts, he helped promote education and encourage community involvement among Brighton students.
Robert began his long and successful career in finance with Armco Steel in Middletown, Ohio. He later advanced to become Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Baxter International in Deerfield, Illinois.
Robert was an avid reader and enjoyed staying active. He especially enjoyed exercising and playing tennis.
Robert is survived by his children, Christopher (Ashley) Lambrix and Chantal (Andy Kralovec) Lambrix; his grandson, Hunter; and his granddaughter, Wesley; his siblings, Susan Farrell, Sabina (Jon) Hunter, Donald (Wendy) Lambrix, and John (Rebekah) Lambrix; his best friend, Linda Betrand; the mother of his children, Paula Nickell; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard Lambrix.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 601 Edgewood Ave., Rochester, NY. Following the mass, family and friends are invited to a reception and luncheon at Oak Hill Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to House of Mercy, 285 Ormond St., Rochester, NY 14605 or Brighton Schools Alumni Association, c/o Brighton Central School District, 2035 Monroe Ave., Rochester, NY 14618.
