Peggy V. Quick, age 73, of Northville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on February 26, 2026. She was born on June 17, 1952 in The Hague, Netherlands; daughter of Richard and Cora (Lotz) Good. Peggy was united in marriage to Gary A. Quick on November 23, 1975. Gary and Peggy eloped in Vegas, where they had a “Good and Quick” ceremony at the Candlelight Wedding Chapel.
Peggy moved from the Netherlands to the United States when she was four years old, and grew up in Garden City, Michigan. Peggy was a graduate of Garden City High School, class of 1970. During her high school years, she shined as a hula dancer, performing with a local dance company.
Peggy was an exceptional homemaker who took great pride in her roles as a wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother. She was a devoted caregiver to her husband, Gary, later in life, and also to her aging mother. She consistently put the needs of others before her own. Peggy lived many beautiful chapters throughout her lifetime. While her children were young, she devoted herself to helping them grow into successful adults. She was always involved in the Parent Teacher Association, and was often the ever-helpful room mom. Peggy was also her children’s biggest fan, especially when it came to their sporting activities and career endeavors.
When her grandchildren arrived, a new chapter began- one filled with a special bond with each grandchild. She was a devoted and doting “Omi”, who showed them the true meaning of unconditional love and most of all, FUN. Peggy was truly one of a kind, and always authentic to herself. She made friends easily, and cherished time spent with them- whether chatting on the phone, dining out, or shopping at local boutiques. She always made the friends and family in her life feel incredibly special and loved.
An avid collector, Peggy found meaning and memories in everything she gathered. She loved attending art festivals and concerts, appreciating creativity in all its forms. She enjoyed gardening- especially caring for her fairy garden. She also stayed active with some of her favorite activities, which included Zumba, as well as running many 5K races alongside her husband, friends, and family. Peggy was delightfully eccentric and meticulously thoughtful; she made everything special, always going the extra mile.
With her generous spirit and outgoing personality, she brought joy and fun wherever she went. She especially loved traveling to Hilton Head Island for yearly family trips to their vacation home and spending time at their lake house in Brooklyn, MI on Lake Columbia. Those trips sparked her love of being on the water and driving her pontoon boat. Hawaii held a special place in her heart; from her honeymoon, to cherished family vacations, Maui was her favorite destination and the source of countless treasured memories. Peggy was an incredible woman with so many wonderful attributes, and she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Peggy is survived by her loving children, Angela (Steven) Michuda, David Quick, and Heather (Matt) Williams; her grandchildren, Luke Michuda, Cora Michuda, and Kai Williams; and her brothers-in-law, Stephen (Candace) Quick and Marc (Marilyn) Quick. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her infant brother Roy Good, her in-laws Robert and Hilda Quick, and her golden retrievers, Kona, Zeke, Tessy, Wrigley & Tanner. She will also be greatly missed by her beloved golden retrievers, Colby and Jack, whom her and Gary raised from puppies.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 24, 2026 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 Elm Street, Northville. Pastor Christopher Fairbairn will officiate the service.
