Jerry B. Fortenberry

Jerry B. Fortenberry, age 80, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. Born on September 10, 1944, Jerry lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to his family and friends.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Sue Fortenberry. He was the proud father of three children Mike (Carolyn) Fortenberry, Kristi (Jeff) Hoose, and Lauri (Kevin) Steeland as well as seven loving grandchildren. A devoted family man, Jerry was a pillar of strength and love, always putting his family first. He was a successful businessman and a longtime member of Meadowbrook Country Club, where he spent many enjoyable hours on the golf course.

Jerry will be missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made in Jerry’s name to the Michigan Humane Society.
