Jeannette M. Lovelace

October 20, 1947 — August 29, 2025

Jeannette M. Lovelace, age 77, of Brighton, formerly of Wynnewood, PA, passed away on August 29, 2025. She was born on October 20, 1947 in Auburn, Alabama; daughter of Houston “Buddy” Lovelace and Madonna (Biegalke) Lovelace. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Wayne, Michigan with the class of 1966. Following high school, Jeannette attended Kutztown University in Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Secondary Education in 1971.

Jeannette (Jeannie) encouraged her daughters to explore their creativity, especially their love for the arts and reading. Her enjoyment was found in the simple, everyday moments: cooking dinner for her family each night, walking around her neighborhood, and time with family. Warmhearted and loving, Jeannette devoted herself to caring for her family.

Returning to school, Jeannette earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Widener University in Chester, PA. She went on to work with Catholic Social Services in Springfield, PA for several years before continuing her career as an intake clinician at JFK Behavioral Health Center in Philadelphia until 2012.

Jeannette had a deep love for the arts and expressed her creativity in varied ways. A gifted writer, she authored heartfelt poems to mark special occasions in the lives of her loved ones, including birthdays, weddings, and memorials. She also wrote companion pieces for her sister’s modern dance performances. Jeannette had a special eye for beauty, delighting in her whimsical collection of green and blue glass vases, as well as frogs and birds in the form of figurines, décor, paintings, and nests.

An avid reader, Jeannie especially enjoyed mysteries and thrillers. She kept her mind sharp with crossword and jigsaw puzzles and never passed up the chance for a peaceful afternoon nap. Jeannette cherished her standing Wednesday breakfast dates with friends, often wearing a touch of leopard print. Growing up, she loved parties with friends and dancing along with the songs of that era.

One of her favorite traditions was spending summers in Avalon, NJ with her family, where she enjoyed the beach, fireworks, and the familiar scent of the marsh. These moments, filled with love, laughter, and togetherness, were among her most treasured memories. Jeannette was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend and will forever be missed by those who knew her.

Jeannette is survived by her loving daughters, Jessa D’Achille and Mica (Daniel Reed) D’Achille; her sisters, Kathleen Lovelace, Sherry Riegel, and Lisa (Richard Troxell) Lovelace; and her nieces and nephews, Sara Kate (Tim) Frye, Leslie (Brandon) Woglemuth, Betsy (Nevin) Gomez, Wilder Troxell, Shane Troxell, Bryan Lovelace, and Nicholas Lovelace. She was preceded in death by her father Houston Lovelace, her mother Madonna Lovelace, her step-father Vincent Addesso, and her nephew Gabriel Troxell.

Private family memorial will be held.

In lieu of flowers, her daughters would appreciate memorial contributions to: Living Beyond Breast Cancer, 40 Monument Road, Suite 104, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
