Jean E. Crane-Blain

Jean E. Crane-Blain, age 79, of Northville passed away June 10, 2026. She was born on March 5, 1947 in South Lyon, Michigan; daughter of Robert Leo and Dorothy Marie (Timlin) Crane.

Jeannie spent most of her grade school years at Immaculate Conception School in Traverse City, Michigan. She spent her last grade school year at St. Brigid School in Detroit. She graduated from St. Cecilia High School with the class of 1965. Following high school graduation Jeannie attended college at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City and then U of D night school in Detroit.

Jeannie worked at General Motors Chevrolet Division in downtown Detroit. Jeannie entered Universal Airline living in New York and California. She flew our brave military troops into and out of Vietnam. She then did volunteer work at the Ann Arbor VA Hospital in Michigan and volunteer work at the Military Heritage Museum in Punta Gorda, Florida.

Jeannie is survived by her siblings, Molly (Ray) Seidl, Julie Dalton, and Justin Crane. Also loved by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Christine Crane, Robert Michael Crane, Kathleen Fedorko, Daniel Crane, Joseph Crane, Elizabeth Dennis, and Mary Tanis.

Private services will be held. She will be laid to rest at Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville.
