Edwin M. Worth

March 26, 1943 — April 29, 2026

Edwin M. Worth, age 83, a longtime resident of Northville, passed away on April 29, 2026. He was born on March 26, 1943, to Charles and Ruth (Mosher) Titsworth. Edwin was united in marriage to Sharon M. (Daly) Worth on December 27, 1965; they spent just shy of 60 years lovingly devoted to one another until her death on December 15, 2025.

Edwin was a proud graduate of Goodrich High School with the Class of 1961. He went on to pursue higher education at the University of Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, and later at the University of Cincinnati, where he received his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Edwin moved his family to Northville in 1972 and began working for Williams International in Walled Lake where he worked as an aerospace engineer. Highly respected by his colleagues and regarded as an expert in his field. Following his retirement from Williams International in 2006, he continued his career with Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut for four years and later shared his expertise through several years of consulting. Edwin was granted a patent and took great pride in his work and its impact on society.

Edwin was a devoted member of St. Kenneth Catholic Church since 1972. Throughout the years, he generously gave his time in many ways, including organizing food drives, serving in soup kitchens, and helping with parish fish fries. He also played a leading role in coordinating the parish festival for many years. Edwin also generously gave his time as President of the homeowner’s association in the Woodlands of Northville, where his leadership and ingenuity helped secure a cost-saving solution to provide water for the community’s irrigation system.

Edwin lived an active life, running daily for exercise and enjoying many years golfing in a men’s league. He liked to be on the water, boating and sailing on Portage Lake. He was an avid photographer, most often capturing nature through his lens. A talented woodworker and carpenter, Edwin took great pride in his craftsmanship. He created custom built-in cabinetry, installed trim, and built bookcases, shelves, and countless other projects.

Edwin enjoyed traveling alongside his wife, and together they accomplished the remarkable feat of visiting all fifty states. They explored much of Europe, including memorable trips to Venice, Ireland, and his personal favorite, Paris. Edwin also cherished time spent at his cottage in Petoskey, where he made lasting memories with family and spent time golfing and boating.

Edwin’s greatest joy was his family, and he consistently placed their needs above his own. He was deeply involved in his sons’ lives, from coaching their teams in their younger years to being a steady and reliable presence whenever they needed support. His offer of help was always quiet and without hesitation. Edwin shared a devoted and loving partnership with his wife. He made her care a priority and was always happy to execute plans for her many projects, one of which was an intricate watering system for her plants. A proud and doting grandfather, Edwin treasured time with his grandchildren, often taking them on outings and creating lasting memories through shared adventures. Edwin was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Edwin is survived by his loving sons, Scott (Nichole) Worth and Kevin (Nancy) Worth; his daughter-in-law, Kelle Snyder; his grandchildren, Ben, Alex Anne, Abe (Lilly), Nate, Rose, Lucy, Mary, Drew, and Allison; one great-grandchild on the way; and his siblings, Mary (Andy) Sloan, Janet (Jeff) Smith, Donna (Gil) Crevier, and Robert Titsworth. He was preceded in death by his wife; his son, Brian Worth; his parents; and his brother, Tim Titsworth.
