Cedar John Kinville

September 27, 2025 — November 1, 2025

Cedar John Kinville passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving parents and held especially tight by his twin sister on November 1, 2025. He was born on September 27, 2025, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the cherished son of John and Amanda (Kanaan) Kinville.

From the moment Cedar entered this world, he was surrounded by pure love. He was held, kissed, prayed over, and celebrated every single day of his life. He was baptized on September 30, 2025, by Father George Shalhoub and Father Jim King from the Basilica of St. Mary in Livonia. Cedar loved each of his siblings, and they showered him with affection, pride, and gentle care. He gifted his family with sweet, unforgettable smiles—smiles that showed he felt joy, comfort, and the deep love surrounding him.

His name was chosen with intention. Cedar was inspired by the cedar tree on the Lebanese flag—an enduring symbol of strength, stability, and majesty. In Scripture, the cedar represents righteousness, spiritual growth, and God’s blessing. Cedar embodied every one of those qualities. All he ever knew in his time on earth was love—the love of Jesus and the love of his family. His life, though brief, was complete. He loved deeply and was deeply loved in return.

Cedar is survived by his devoted parents, John and Amanda; his siblings, Kanaan, Maevis, Rammi, and his beloved twin sister, Lenora. He is also survived by his grandparents, Karen (and the late Paul) Kinville, and Andrea and Dan Kanaan; his great-grandmother, Stella Kallil; as well as many aunts, uncles, and 24 cousins who adore him.

Cedar’s time here may have been short, but his impact is everlasting. He will forever be our angel baby—watching over us, guiding us, and living in our hearts with every memory, every prayer, and every smile remembered.

A private funeral service will be held. Cedar will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
