Brian A. Davis

Feb 15, 1976 — Jun 19, 2026

Brian Anthony Davis, age 50, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on June 19, 2026. He was born on February 15, 1976 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the son of William Randall and Shirley Lynn (DuBois) Davis.

Brian was born and raised in Ypsilanti, a hometown he loved deeply and spoke of with great pride throughout his life. Brian graduated from Willow Run High School in Ypsilanti, class of 1994. Following graduation, he attended Washtenaw Community College.

Brian proudly served in the United States Army. Enlisting after the 911 attack, he was a true patriot who wanted to serve his country. He served two tours in Iraq and after returning home he joined the Army Reserves. He was a member of the VFW Post 4012 in Northville and a member of the American Legion.

Brian continued his commitment to protecting others while working in private security in Kosovo. After returning to the United States, he transitioned into hospital security, where he remained dedicated to the safety and well-being of those around him.

Music was Brian’s greatest passion. Throughout his life, he performed in several heavy metal bands, including "Beyond and Back", where he served as both lead vocalist and bassist. His love of music began at an early age as he watched his father play guitar, eager to learn every note. With patience and encouragement, his father taught him to play, sparking a lifelong passion. Brian was also a talented songwriter whose lyrics reflected his creativity, depth, and poetic spirit.

An adventurer at heart, Brian embraced opportunities to explore the world. He traveled extensively, visiting destinations such as Peru, Wales, London, and Ireland, immersing himself in the culture, history, and beauty of each place. His journey also led him to live abroad in Kosovo and Serbia. After returning to the United States, he made homes in Texas, Nevada, Arizona, and Indiana before eventually settling closer to his roots. Brian remained a devoted fan of Detroit sports throughout his life, especially the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers.

He will be remembered for his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and unwavering commitment to protecting those he loved. Above all, he was a devoted family man whose strength, loyalty, and love will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Brian is survived by his parents, William “Randy” and Shirley Davis; his sister, Jennifer (Matt) Seckel; and his nephew, Bowen Seckel. He is also loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and brothers in arms. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Verna DuBois and Herman and JoAnn Davis.
