Anthony C. Brodeur, Jr., age 76, longtime resident of Novi, passed away on November 4, 2026. He was born on February 8, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, son of Anthony and Dorothy (Nichols) Brodeur. Anthony was united in marriage to Lily T. Nguyen on June 2, 1984 and they spent 42 years lovingly devoted to one another.
Anthony graduated from St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in Detroit with the class of 1968. Shortly after graduating from high school, Anthony was drafted into the United States Army, where he served as a military policeman during the Vietnam War. He was proud to have served his country and was honorably discharged in 1971 after receiving the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.
Anthony began his career as a field service technician for a printer company, where he worked for over 25 years. He later joined Stylecraft Printing in Canton as a delivery driver. Anthony was well-liked and respected by his coworkers and enjoyed the relationships he built throughout his career. After 20 years with Stylecraft Printing, he retired in 2019.
Anthony was a longtime and devoted member of St. James Catholic Church, where he was actively involved in parish life. He generously volunteered his time wherever help was needed and enjoyed the fellowship and friendships he formed through the Men’s Group.
Anthony enjoyed staying active and made working out a regular part of his life. In his younger years, he was a boxer and maintained his interest in fitness throughout the years. He also loved sports and could often be found cheering on his favorite Michigan and Detroit teams, especially during college football season.
Anthony had a great appreciation for nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved watching National Geographic and had an impressive knowledge of animals. Fishing with his son was a favorite pastime. Anthony took great pride in his lawn and landscaping, keeping everything neatly maintained. He also had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, where he was especially proud of his tomatoes and peppers.
Above all, Anthony was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who cared deeply for his family. He treasured the time they spent together, and he will be remembered with love by all who knew him.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Lily Brodeur; his sons, John (Kristen) Truong and Anthony Brodeur, III; his grandchildren, Amelia, Ryan, and Jezzi; his siblings, Tom (Chris) Brodeur and Michelle (David) Haywood; his brother-in-law, Jack Bedell; and many nieces and nephews.
