Anita Hackmann, age 87, of Clinton Township, formerly of Northville passed away December 22, 2015. She was born December 5, 1928 in Alexandria, Kentucky; daughter of Emery and Kathleen (nee Kirkland) Gosney. Anita was united in marriage to Donald H. Hackmann on May 21, 1951; they spent 64 loving years together. Anita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with family. She loved nature and animals; especially birds, cats, and flowers. She enjoyed designing flower arrangements. She also enjoyed music, singing, and dancing. Anita was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Northville. She volunteered with the Youth Club, Housing the Homeless, bible studies, and cleaning the pews every Thursday. Anita is survived by her loving husband, Donald H. Hackmann; her children, Sherry McCue, Bruce (Louise) Hackmann, and Lori (Michael) Finn; her brothers, Doug (Marilyn) Gosney, Don Gosney, and Marion (Dorothy) Gosney; her grandchildren, Kathleen, Scott, Joel, Andrew, Erin, Kaitlin, Amanda, Megan, and Rene; and her great grandchildren, Owen, James, Mason, Eloise. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lee Ann Schanne and her parents.Visitation will be held Monday, December 28, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon with a funeral service beginning at Noon. Rev. Monica William from First United Methodist Church of Northville will officiate the service. Mrs. Hackmann will be laid to rest at Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville.
