Age 53, of Northville, passed away
peacefully at home on April 21, 2010. He was born June 3, 1956 in Royal Oak, Michigan
to Raymond and Margaret (Wilkie) Halbert.Mike grew up in RedfordTownship and graduate from RedfordUnionHigh School class of
1974.He met the love of his life,
Barbara J. Schram, when they were 12 years old, but the relationship did not
blossom until after high school. Mike and Barb were united in marriage on July
28, 1978.He was an amazing painter with
Burton Brothers since 1988; he met many longtime friends through the
business.He enjoyed hunting and the
outdoors. He loved country music and was a cowboy at heart. Mike also liked to
travel, watch sports, and most of all he like spending time with his family and
friends.He was a loving husband, a
devoted son, and a proud father.
He is survived by his beloved wife
Barbara; his daughters, Candice (William) Elwell and Amanda Halbert; his
parents, Raymond and Margaret Halbert; his siblings, Susan (Matthew) Stoney and
James (Gale) Halbert; his sister-in-laws, Linda Schram, Gloria (Pietro)
Arciero; his brother-in-law Waldo (Susan) Schram; and his beagle grand-dogs
Lola and Hunter. He is also survived my many loving nieces, nephews, and
friends.
A funeral mass will be held
Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 11:30am, with visitation from 10:30-11:30am at St.
Genevieve Catholic Church, 29015
Jamison St., Livonia, MI 48154.Rev. Father Howard Vogan will officiate the
service. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to St. Genevieve Catholic Church. Arrangements
